How to Upload Registrants from an Outside Source

Introduction

Although the microsite comes with a built-in registration system, sometimes members might want to use external registration systems to process registrations and gather information. In those scenarios, you need to make sure those registrations are sent to the microsite to allow them to receive registration emails that include the link to watch the event. To facilitate this, the microsite comes with an option to upload registrants.

Uploading the List of Registrants

When you are ready to upload a list of registrants, go to the Microsite to pull up the event to upload the registrants.

  1. Click on Manage Upcoming in the Admin Menu.
  2. Click on the event you want to upload registrants to and click on Upload.

3. Click on the link here that has the template file for the registrants. Download the file.

4. Transfer the data from your registration system to the template file. Make sure the columns match the data. If you need additional data other than the four available, place the data in the affiliation column. Do not include commas.

5. When finished, save the file as a CSV file. This is the only file type accepted.

6. Return to the microsite and select the CSV file, and then click Upload. You should be redirected to the Event Analytics page, where you can view the registrants you just uploaded. The registrants will receive the emails and be able to access the event on the microsite.

Note: Please try to avoid inputting duplicate entries with the same email address because it will reduce the accuracy of the analytics and those participants will receive multiple emails.
